Taste

The Guilhem Rouge is a perfectly balanced wine. It is a full and firm wine with a medium body. The aroma with pure tones of red and black fruits brings a fresh and flourishing taste. A wine that never bores!

Preparation

This Guilhem is made with the same attention as its bigger brother the Mas De Daumes Gassac. The fermentation of the grapes Syrah, Carignan and Grenache happens on low temperature in Inox tanks. A House wine with great quality.

About: Moulin de Gassac

In the beautiful hinterland of the famous Gassac valley, you can find the the vineyards of the Guibert family. In addition to the grand-cru' wines of Mas de Daumas Gassac, also the affordable quality wines from Moulin de Gassac have an excellent reputation. Affectionately these wines are characterized as "vins comme autrefois" because of the rich, slightly spicy flavor that is a reminiscent of the past.

About: Languedoc

Wine production has been for ages the economic engine of the Languedoc region. Because of the enormous wine production in Languedoc, the region has its name ‘the French wine barn’. The high production is possible because of the relative constant climate. The overproduction of wine made it possible for the vineyards to expand their territories. The latest couple of years, there are a lot of vineyards that are experimenting with new vinification techniques and new grapes. This given fact gives this region in France a huge amount of excellent wine producers.
