The Burgundy is a famous Wine district in the eastern part of France. This district is devided in smaller districts, all with their own characteristics. Within Burgundy, most white wines are made from Chardonnay and the red wines are made from Pinot Noir. The Northern sub-district is called Chablis, praised for the dry, mineral-rich white wines. In the south, not far from Dijon is the most exquisite sub-district; the Côte d’Or. The majority of major white wines and red wines in the Burgundy are produced in the Côte d’Or.
