Southwest France is composed of many little wine districts. East of the Bordeaux district, the Bergerac and Côtes de Duras are located. The red, dry white and noble sweet wines from these areas show many similarities with those from Bordeaux regarding style and varieties. Upstream the river the Garonne are the districts Buzet and Gaillac located. Further south -at the Pyrenees are famous districts such as Madiran and Béarn with concentrated, deeply colored red wines and the district Jurancon, with its surprising dry and sweet white wines.
